Festive coktails

The holiday season approaches, as sparkling lights add cheer to chilly nights – and that faint grip of apprehension emerges, as you try to plan your perfect festive menu.

Cocktails are, of course, the pièce de résistance of any holiday gathering – whether you’re entertaining your nearest and dearest in a relaxed and intimate gathering, or pulling out all the stops for a party to remember.

As lovers of fine flavours, intoxicating combinations and concoctions that thrill and surprise, it goes without saying that we adore festive cocktails in all their variety. Read on for three of our favourites for the season!

Blackberry Bellini

Sweet, dark berries are one of our favourite fruits of the season – featuring in the intoxicating and enticing scent of Atropa Belladonna. So a berry-themed cocktail is an absolute must here – and this delicious cocktail from Absolut never fails to please.

Salted Caramel Martini

A salted caramel cocktail?

Be still, our hearts! This swoonworthy creation comes from fellow lover of all things caramel-flavoured, Nigella Lawson. Made with her own recipe for salted caramel sauce, this is a rich, indulgent cocktail that’s perfect for the festive season.

With butterscotch Schnapps, fleur de sel and dry vermouth, this enticing concoction issues the perfect start to proceedings.

Ginger, Yuzu and Acai Cooler

Created by chef, Ming Tsai, this eastern-inspired cocktail brings an unusual twist to your drinks menu, combining fruitiness and spice for a unique twist on festive flavours.

With an invigorating burst of ginger, along with superfoods acai and yuzu – this is an exotic and refreshing holiday drink that packed with anti-oxidants. So the perfect choice to help keep you on form through the party season. For an energising and wellness boosting mocktail, simply omit the liquor and add peach juice instead.
